There's nothing radical about this. It's the final form capitalist will take before revolution, as the need for the capitalists to expropriate wealth from the proletariat becomes too pressing to bear.

The reasons stated are COVID and Global Warming. These are on Biden's long stated agenda. The red see these as hoaxes, so get worked up about it, but both are real enough. I see the taxes being shifted around to make the rich pay their share, and they don't even seem to be ready to complain. I anticipate no revolution.

And when did "The Hill" become so right wing? I've seen no perceivable balance from them for the last few years, but remember less biased days. It is, after all, a publication dedicated to reporting on Congress .. at least notionally.

Looks like Civil War 2.0 is starting.
