A volcanic disaster has occurred in Tonga.
It looks as if the volcanic part of one island has disappeared under the ocean. A shock wave from the volcano has spread around the world. Internet connections to Tonga have been cut off due to the rupture of the country's one internet link. Australia and New Zealand are responding with their armed forces.
