The Indian Subcontinent is unduly ignored in world history. Few parts of the world have such a long, unbroken heritage of civilization. If generational theory has any validity at all then the Indian Subcontinent would be a trove of relevant knowledge.

By the way -- the British were not the first Europeans to leave their mark upon India. Alexander got as far as Punjab, and Greek kings had influence for a few centuries. People in northern India often have genetic markers characteristic of Slavs, and such people brought the Iranian languages to Iran and, Afghanistan -- and Sanskrit to India.
