It took me a while using the real clear politics site, and WaPo is available to me again. I found out where the House Democratic and Republican pick-ups were so far.

Blue states, 23 pick-ups and 1 leading, minus 2 GOP pick-ups
Purple states, 12 pick-ups, minus 1 GOP pick-up
Red states, 7 pick-ups

42 pick-ups, minus 3 GOP pick-ups = 39, plus Democrats leading now for 1 pickup = 40. Democrats should have 235 seats, Republicans 200 unless leads change hands.

I designated Purple states as AZ CO MI PA, as well as the usual

Real Clear called the NY 22 race for Brindisi, the Democrat. And now the CA 21 race is still not called. The Democrat Cox has forged into the lead by 436 votes.

It looks like the Democrats will hit the big 40 after all!
