The Weather Underground did kill a few people, probably by accident, but that mitigates nothing. The KKK, on the other hand, murdered hundreds -- often as a communal spectacle. There are many photographs of average haters taken at lynchings -- everyone smiling at the camera.
Like I noted before, there is no equivalence here.
