Two comments:
  1. A cite (or really, several) for the 17 year period in bold.  I doubt you'll find anything other than fringe groups, but carry on.
  2. Anarchists are neither left or right, but merely anti-authoritarian in the extreme -- libertarians without limits.

Misread "cites" as "cities".
