I was going all sarcastic on this, but you may not know. SCOTUS has already ruled that flag burning is protected speech.

It's perfectly legal to burn another country's flag. The flag of the old Soviet Union was a favorite for such desecration for refusing to allow Jews to emigrate. I can fully understand why some people would burn Nazi or Confederate flags.

Burning the US flag is a puerile, pointless act that says more about the person doing it than about America.

I would suppose that surviving prisoners in Dachau and Mauthausen were delighted to see US flags coming their way. And what flag usually went along with the Civil Rights struggle? You guessed it.

What will supporters of the police state say when their
beloved police come to arrest them for racist hate speech,
confiscate their guns, and force them to board trains headed to the
concentration camps?

Most people support the police state until they become a
victim of it.

Sounds very much like what went down in Nazi Germany, doesn’t it?  I bet no statues of Hitler or any of his cronies survive there today.

All the recent talk about statues brings this classic country song to mind.  Any connection that you can see?
