Somewhat off topic, but very germane to your comment: the prisons are full of mostly non-white prisoners who got there because they lack power. As we've seen repeatedly, many are innocent; the estimate of the percentage of convicted innocents is 2% overall, with most of them poor and non-white. Some are released because of DNA evidence or something equally compelling, but that begs the question. Obviously, many are still imprisoned and unable to do anything to save themselves. Do you think they got "due process", or were they railroaded into taking pleas because they couldn't fight the charges?
Now, the hard part: how many of those innocents are incarcerated in Red states? Hint: Texas is estimated to have between one third and half of them. One state!
