Isn't this really about just waiting until there is a vaccine? Then the mortality rate will be about zero and we can all come out of our caves to normalcy.
Not quite. It is about not overloading hospital capacity in the process, so everyone can get the good hospital care so the lethality rate doesn't get higher. This requires some painful isolation which some people are resisting and which in these early days are producing the overload in some places. Most think it is worth it.
