Fuck 2006! ha ha. This guy has nothing to tell me, I can tell from what he's talking about. Nothing of interest to me; extremely low brow stuff. But I think the idea that millennial culture started in around 2006 is probably right. I don't know if it sucked any more than what was before then though. Pop had a good period around 2012. From my Boomer point of view, everything started to suck when the Awakening ended and we entered the 3T, or even before. Either 1980 when John Lennon was killed, or late 1984 when Reagan was re-elected. There have been some good movies since then, I can't deny. The ones that win awards, in general deserve it. But culture that is more-broadly available, free to watch or listen to, has pretty much sucked since then, unless you look beyond the fringe of what is popular. I am stuck watching old TV shows, and listening mostly beyond the fringe of popularity. The 3T/4T culture on TV just does not attract me; the characters are thin and contrived; good looking, but little beyond that. But 2006 doesn't suck, actually, just because of the Winter album by Kevin Kendle and the piece "Midwinter." A year that produces this piece can't be all bad. Magnificent! It's like the best pieces of classical music, and like some great late-1T pop instrumentals. It only has been on you tube since 2017, and has only 2300-plus views. That just shows, good stuff is out there, but it has not the slightest relationship to what is popular.
