The only reason I could think of that this could have possibly happened was that apparently there wasn't sufficient evidence that he was actually the one who performed the dastardly deed, which if proven was much worse than what Clarence Thomas was accused of before he was seated. Meantime, more and more Catholic priests are being accused of sexual misconduct and barred from the priesthood. And, both Bill Cosby and Harvey Weinstein have pretty much gone down in flames along with the likes of Matt Lauer.

I recently asked a psychic reader for her take on movements such as #MeToo and Black Lives Matter, and she seems to think that they will be as fleeting as the Occupy movement was. We shall see.

It would seem that the second Kavanaugh accuser was in fact lying and has been referred to the Justice Department for prosecution.  Makes me wonder how many of the others are just making shit up to get attention or to achieve a certain political outcome?

I didn't need a psychic reader to tell me that #MeToo and Black Lives Matter were strictly short term movements.  Useful as political tools for the Dims until they blew their credibility which seems to have happened with everyone but the true believers.

Sure, we can all trust the Master Class to know what is best for us peons in the new serfdom of their elite dreams -- about as we can trust an alcoholic with keys to the liquor cabinet. Just look at the labor policy of Nazi Germany, where strikes were outlawed, employers could refer any worker not meeting quotas to a labor camp where he would be worked to exhaustion on starvation wages until he learned that working to exhaustion on the lowest industrial wages in Europe was indeed a blessing -- or died of overwork on starvation rations or was executed in the labor camp.

This is less known than the genocide and slavery of Nazi Germany, and it was the basis of the economic miracle of the Third Reich.

Don't fool yourself. America's elites of ownership and management are no better than the feudal lords of medieval Europe or the exploitative nomenklatura of the state serfdom of the old Soviet Union. Karl Marx had the delusion that ownership was the basis of exploitation; bureaucratic power can do the trick, too.

But we are only three days away from finding out how much Americans love the owners and managers who utterly dominate American political life now. Make America Great Again -- but only for about 2% of the people, with 3% being so talented that what country they live in makes little difference?

Much wisdom lies in the old saying, "Never let the Perfect be the enemy of the Good". This applies not only to the radical extremist of the Left (such as a follower of Trotsky or Mao) but also to the reactionary who seeks to restore an idyllic past. Sure, there were business opportunities in those days no longer available because Big Business has closed the gaps in the economic system, and real estate was less expensive in real terms when fewer people were in America. We cannot bring that back in a way that anyone could accept. We can achieve a nightmare.
The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the dedicated Communist  but instead the people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction, true and false, no longer exists -- Hannah Arendt.
