As an Xer who grew up on junk food and bad TV, I think there is much to be praised about modern culture. I think there is a lot of excellent TV, film and music being made these days. No denial on cinema and television. On the other hand, one needs pay cable to get it. If one must rely upon network TV one sees schlock that HBO would not touch. I'm not really complaining about pre-packaged entrees in stores. If one is to have any diversity in cuisine, then zapping something in the microwave may be better than some awful alternative.
