I hypothesize that certain Strauss-Howe generational events, which I call "abandon-business" events, strongly influence the course of history.
My article, Abandon-business events and a history book gives an example. It does so, by mining the dates in a book, recently published, which focuses on one aspect of recent United States history: postmodernism.
