Who should lead the Democrats?

NONE of my circle of acquaintances has ever suffered more than one bankruptcy, and the vast majority have suffered none.  I'm not even sure we know how many business ventures DT has bankrupted.  At least four or five big ones?  The most recent his casino during the last weeks of the campaign where he laid off two or three thousand workers?

Anyhow ... back to the topic of the thread ... whenever I ruminate on the best leader for we lefties goind forward, I keep coming back to Elizabeth Warren ... young, smart, articulate, charismatic, experienced ...

All your points are well-taken. Sorry to say though, I don't think Elizabeth can win.

I attended the Women's March on Washington yesterday and was very inspired by Michael Moore's 5 to-do action items. The last action item one was run for office; thousands of people at the march raised their hand. I think we are seeing the Left rise again.

Maybe I missed it, but I'm curious ... are you male or female? Or some other configuration?

Young?  She's my age!  Sherrod Brown, maybe, but let's rethink this.  The party leader, as opposed to the party's face to the world, is a crank turner.  GOTV, funding and outreach are his/her job.  Elizabeth Warren is better out-front, fighting the good fight; she'll never be President.  For that, the Dems need someone younger ... fresher.

I agree, but I'm still waiting for your assessment of your governor as a potential POTUS candidate. Is he minimally acceptable to you? Now, he once was the DNC party leader already. He speaks well. And he rates well cosmically. He is linked to the Clintons. That has its advantages and disadvantages, to be sure. I don't think he is progressive enough on some issues, but he seems to be a pretty consistent liberal force. He would not have Hillary's lack of passion, at least. He is a late-wave boomer; not real young, but maybe not too old? For most people, he's a fresh face. But in fact, he has the same position Bill Clinton had when he ran: chair of the governor's conference (or is that Democratic governors, I'm not sure). And he's from a swing state, more or less. Like Bill, he connects real well with people.

We know little now about his attitude toward what his Party needs to do now, which Sen. Schumer seems to know. Schumer has some potential too, and is the defacto leader now.
