In Donald Trump we have about the dodgiest political figure in American life that we have ever had. If he is not a deliberate liar he is often reckless with the truth. That might be good for a used-car salesman or a real-estate huckster, but not for the President of the United States
Two nitpicks.
If he has never served in office, does he qualify as a political figure? I guess. Sorta.
Just about dodgiest? Three words. Richard Milhous Nixon. The 'just about' covers you. Beating out Nixon, though, would require actually getting into office.
In spite of the nitpicks, yah, no problem with the basics of what you're saying.
Nixon although as a working class Quaker from what was then considered The Sticks who was deemed an "outsider," was way better than Drumpf. He was a previous VP and a very good lawyuh .... way, way more qualified for office than Drumpf.
Can anyone image Drumph going to CHI-na?!
Likely the opposite effect that what occurred with Nixon.
