I was gonna make this thread, but then I found out it existed. Aside from the 80s nostalgia, I'm surprised by you guys' music taste, ngl. Anyway, I'm very passionate about mainstream music, both loving it and criticising it. Man, music has changed a lot since this thread was made. I'll talk about 2008 first.
The first real year of the 4T. I think this was a transitional year from moody 2005 music to party music absolutely taking over in 2009. This shows with its first #1 hit iirc, Low by up and coming rapper Flo Rida, and T-Pain. Very great start to the year. I don't know how anyone could dislike this song (if it wasnt overplayed for them of course). It's an absolute bop, and its on Billboard's 100 Biggest Songs of All Time.
