Actually, that's a point I agree is valid. Sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. It's never acceptable, but it's all too common.
It is a valid point. Personally though i dont see what is wrong with the word honey. A word is just a word till intention and purpose is put into it. People nowadays seem to freak out about things like this without finding out the intention first. Calling someone honey does not make someone sexist. Labelling someone incorrectly is a wrong doing though.
Here in the US, it's a form of flirting -- not always bad but always questionable.
