It also matters which sense of socialism you use. The Western Europe sense of the government helping the people? Or the Communist sense of sticking the word 'Socialist' in your name and pretending you care more about the people than the elites. I would be for the first, against the second, and inclined not to use the word since it is so ambiguous.
