True, but unlikely.  Today's GOP isn't even interested in being a winning version of its older self.  As a party, it's more than happy to rule by fiat, and it's working hard to make that happen.

Well, lucky for you, the Republican base still has some house cleaning to do before it turns its focus to destroying the Democratic party altogether. You're right, the Republican side isn't/hasn't been interested in saving/keeping the entire country together these days. Your side is only interested in white power, and the power of the wealthy in hopes that their wealth will trickle down to you. It doesn't. And you're right, those whites and females who don't buy into your nonsense do not matter to you, anymore than the nonwhites matter to you. Your side's philosophy is, as Nick Hanauer says, "we matter, and YOU Don't."
