As you may or may not know, weakened by pneumonia, I suffered a fall at a trolley stop in San Francisco in the morning of December 21, 2014. For nearly two months I was in the hospital, the first month in a medically-induced coma, and following my release therefrom, I returned to Central Jersey and applied for Social Security Disability, and after having been turned down three times, I was finally approved on November 13.
Now I am looking for a home in one of the many retirement villages in the area.
You've had a long road, and it appears to getting shorter … finally. Best of luck in Jersey. If you decide to go for lower cost and less snow, there is no shortage of retirement villages from the middle of North Carolina south to the Florida Keys.
