I seems a little soon.  Trump is still dominant in the old GOP.  If he had a real desire to win, he would not be splitting the vote.

But I have a feeling it is about the money.  He wants to get his hands on the Trump donations, rather than letting the GOP have any of it.

Which is fine for me...
That this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the earth.
