How does the Fourth Turning produce unity in the end when 4T people are terrible?

As the 4T goes on more and more, I come more to the conclusion that the majority is terrible and that people are getting worse and worse. It makes me want to be a hermit, not unite or conform with people. When you see a 4T, you're looking at the evil of humanity and how terrible people can be. The only solution is to withdraw away from the world because people are getting worse.

The majority is not terrible. Flawed? Of course. Hypocritical? Almost everyone falls short of his stated ideals, and the few non-hypocrites that I have met are simply proud of their own wickedness, and that attitude is not good for freedom or even survival.

The trick of great leadership is to get self-interest to match human goodness. Trump obviously fails at that.
The ideal subject of totalitarian rule is not the convinced Nazi or the dedicated Communist  but instead the people for whom the distinction between fact and fiction, true and false, no longer exists -- Hannah Arendt.
