I have never heard of civic generations seen as weak. More often they are pillars of support for their leaders, and builders within the dominant paradigms. That I don't see as weakness, but lack of vision.
I'm not accusing millennials per se of anything and don't wish to judge, knock or categorize them too much at this point. There's a lot of variety among millennials. We need millennials in this time to steer our country and our world back on a sustainable and just path. The positive side of civics is the ability to perceive justice and collective security, and to serve the interests of civic entities. They can pool their collective energy effectively. Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.
