This is a very good summary. Lukashenko was able to survive the protests last summer because the police and military stayed loyal to him. Yanukovich, Gaddafi and Mubarak were abandoned by theirs.
Yes. Lukashenko is president of Belarus, still undeposed. Yanukovich was president of Ukraine, later charged with treason.
