I have been saying for some time that the Republican Party has been for the elites forever, and picked up the racists with the southern strategy. They just don't advertise the fact. You can't take a shortcut and accuse all Republicans of thinking that way, but when you look at the increase the imbalance of wealth, anti benefit, anti union, ship the jobs abroad, anti domestic spending, anti minority vote, it is clear that that is what they are doing.
I'm not sure they can do that anymore. No one is big for the elites. Black Lives Matter has made it not cost effective to go crazy hurting minorities. They have to steal votes to stay in power. The Republicans are fractured, so not a lot of energy is going into keeping the racist, sexist, elitist con job going.
In theory, they are going to take a hard fall. It is just that they have a long way to fall and it has only begun.
The big lie that there was a lot of fraud in the 2020 election should take a big hit in the second impeachment. Everybody is binding themselves to Trump at the moment. We'll see where it goes.
