Relax. It's just slang in its purest form. Plus, it seems to have held, so it can't be bad in that sense.
Right. Languages change anyway, English is a corruption of Anglo-Saxon, which is a corruption of early Germanic, which is a corruption of Proto-Indo-European. Modern usages can sound retarded, like "woke cancel culture", which would be "awake cancellation culture" or even "culture of awake cancellation" in Victorian English, but maybe they are the harbingers of a new era in language evolution.
