Be it ISO 8601 YYYY-MM-DD or even YYYY-Mon-DD format (2022-04-25 in folder/file names, 2022 Apr 25 in text that need no sorting). A 4-digit year is necessary to prevent ambiguity when the digits are low (09/12/15 could be any of 3 different dates and 01-Sep-12 could be any of 2 different dates), and big-endian is way better if things are going to be sorted on computers. the forum itself allows the user to choose the yyyy-mm-dd format along with a 24h time format.
Amen! 90% of my files lead with the YYYY-MM-DD prefix for exactly that reason, and I try to use it elsewhere as well (check writing being an exception -- contact your bank!). Unfortunately, we're creatures of habit, and habits, even really bad ones, die hard.
