Odin you sound like Alphabet now.  Seriously as much as they've tried to dig dirt up on Daddy if he had any serious ties to a foreign state other than visiting an ambassador a few times they'd have nailed him on it.  I'll give you a hint though, he's president now and I bet he sees at least one foreign ambassador a week.

I can't help but hear MSM from time to time. They have nothing. If they did the House would pounce on it as there are enough Establishment GOPers around to start an impeachment. And they really wouldn't mind Pence.

We'll see though. If there is actual evidence I expect the House to act on it--but I doubt that there is because if there were they would have found it long before now.

A good portion of the GOP base is more loyal to Trump than they are to the party, now, and the Republicans in Congress fear the wrath of the Psycho Trump Cult. Also, I remember hearing that the Russians got a hold of emails from the RNC as well as from the DNC and so some of the Republicans are probably "compromised" and are scared of what will happen if too much dirt comes out.

All evidence indicates that the RNC's servers are no more compromised than any other server. I imagine because they had the foresight to not have the passwords be "password" like John Podesta. Seriously my 7 year old niece could hack him and I'm not sure she even knows what email is.

No I think that the whole Ryancare Debacle was a planned debacle. The president has to get rid of Ryan and his Rinos but can't be seen to get his hands dirty. Next best thing is to give them enough rope for them to hang themselves with. It is an embarassment to him.

As for the rest of it, it isn't my fault Odin that you don't go and read Breitbart from time to time--perhaps you'd know what the enemy was thinking if you did. Lord knows I go onto Huffpo enough, and MSDNC plays as background noise regularly. Hence why I saw Mr. Maddow expose the fact that Trump pays taxes live on the tee-vee.

It was a huge let down for my mother who was convinced that Trump hadn't paid a cent in years.

If you say so Odin. Though given our differing track records on predicting things, and reading the political tea leaves, I stand by my statement. The bill Ryan was offering was total garbage. They could pass a clean repeal in about 15 minutes in both houses and the president would sign it before the ink was dry.

The base has been clear since the beginning...repeal first. Then we'll talk about replacements.

This is a crucial fact that Odin and Eric the Obtuse overlook constantly.  They do not understand how much the Republican party elites hate Trump.  The Republican party base actually hate the leaders of the party because of how easily they caved in on just about every issue.

It wouldn't shock me if Kinser was right.  Trump promised the moon, more people covered, better care and cheaper, which wasn't going to happen. I don't think Trump wanted to take lots of people off insurance.  They managed to get the issue off the front burner with enough muddle that they could blame somebody else, anybody else.

I'm not impressed with Trump's people skills or political acumen.  It's just as plausible that he just messed up.  I'm not going to make a firm call.  Let's see how the next several crises fall.

No, Trump plays to the crowd, and the crowd expects miracles.  He can't deliver miracles, but he can deliver hate and discontent.  The AHCA went down,  and he pointed at everyone but DJT.  He lives to tweet another day.

Take the man as he is.  He's a privileged overbearing narcissist blowhard in public and a pleasant charmer in private.  Both acts are intended to gain favor.  Killing healthcare for millions is not going to accomplish that, and he knows it.
