I said Republican establishment for a reason because they tend to share the same worldview as the Democrat establishment. In a very real sense what the members of both parties think really doesn't matter to the elites. As this is a fourth turning it seems likely that this is about to change. I pointed you to a good starting point and I suggest that you continue on from there, in the order that they were posted. Unless you understand the persuasion game, this election will never make sense to you. Come to think of it, you will get insight into New Zealand elections as well which is not a bad thing.
