Uh, no. It took only one session of a youtube video that's in your .sig to figure out that Bieber sux.

Exactly. As well as your first post about beiber. Which shows that his expertise in that field means nothing to those who do not care for that music. Which is why after consideration, I realize even though my field of higher education in art means nothing as it is the audience who give it power with a yay or a nay as well as their own interpretation on it. Art is not above others, nor are us artists above our audience just because of our experience. Our audience helps to create it to transform through various experiences and feelings. That also gives it its fame if enough people enjoy it.

You are so very wrong and do not know me well enough to claim that as proof. I like r&b, metal, opera, pop, all types of rock music, a bit of disco, some new age, some electronic, and more. I won't argue that point. But I claim that I know music. It's one of my fields, just as art is one of yours. I always have more to learn, but I do know more than you do about it. I am not too keen about what you share because of your high and mighty attitude about it. Yes, I know art. But even with my topic of expertise i say the opinion of it is in the hands of its viewers.

I'm not too high and mighty, as I explained. don't worry about me. Just enjoy the music and be open to it, regardless of me. You are the one who benefits, if you are open.

My #3 all-time pick in the new age ambient genre.

And, being released on 1/1/01, probably the first piece of the New Millennium. And, I should say, still the best! Remarkable.

Pharrell Williams makes me "Happy" with this great tune, and its harmonies and rhythm. Vocal like Curtis Mayfield. Pharrell certainly left his 3T music in the dust, and then some! This is classic stuff, and inspiring!

Happy, happy, happy, happy!

Meh it is alright. Nothing inspiring for me though. Btw I am giving them a fair go. Will not review Beibs song. I have already heard it several times before and still nothing for me. Not like Broods.

(06-03-2016, 08:26 PM)Eric the Green Wrote: It was a special moment when this song came out on the Summer Solstice of 2012. I at least got to hear it about a week after it was released, thanks to a reference to it by MillennialX here on this forum; and I first heard the song about a month before this official video, which I couldn't wait to come out. And I eagerly followed it on the surveys, something I hadn't done with a song since the sixties! Certainly this song became special for me; I even arranged and performed it myself a few times. Truly it signified a rebirth of pop after the schlock of the 3T! These 4T top pops are upbeat, as the authors predicted. None more than this one.

I don't know how much of this song reflects earlier pop tunes; the writers definitely did some borrowing. But I don't know of one just like it before. If that's true, then certainly this song has influenced pop culture far more than its level of popularity would suggest. Other pop songs, and loads of commercial jingles imitate it, and its chorus.
It's always a good time!

So far no and no to 1D. Disappointed. Neither beautifully haunting or inspiring (to me).

Really? Well then why should I even give your music a chance like I am doing right now with that attitude of yours? Problem is you cannot see other people, nor believe they are different from you. Remember the N word and the A word I used in reference to you? Keep that behaviour up it will confirm it if you cannot see differences or beyond your own ear and thoughts.

I remember a post you said to Suzanne a while back. She was not interested in Beibs music either and you said she was lying because she either was wanting to be with the cool kids who hate him or just because he was a kid. Nothing has changed with you. Still N and A with you and THAT is the high and mighty attitude i spoke of earlier.
